"May your buoy carry the weight of the sea and the lift of the sky.
May your pirate sail by the stars you’ve chosen, not the ones you were given.
May the winds of your own breath fill the sails of everything you create."
"Where the Wind Meets the Will"

This piece grew out of a deep remembering — of standing at the edge of the known world, waiting not with fear, but with certainty.
The buoy and the painting together tell the story of a pirate — not the caricature of a thief, but the soul of an adventurer, a guardian of unseen treasures, a sailor of inner and outer seas. The buoy, shaped by the tides and winds, holds the spirit of endurance and arrival.
The painting captures the moment of recognition: the ship on the horizon, the long-called dream finally taking form.
In every brushstroke, there’s a prayer to the horizon: a call to meet destiny halfway, to walk the beach with steady feet while the sails fill and the future approaches.
This is not a story of waiting. It is a story of claiming.
I'm so excited to be a contributing artist for this year's Stonington Lobster Trap Tree 2025
