People love not only portraits of a loved one, but also of their homes, their pets and places they love. Prices vary depending on size, medium and complexity of painting. Good resource photos are important. In order to choose a size, consider first where you would like to hang your painting. This will give us an idea of shape and size of canvas.
Next consider what kind of mood do you want to evoke? Playful? (as in the family beach scene) Nostalgic? (House with pets who've passed away, snowy house at Christmas, Battery Park in the 50's) or catching a likeness of a family member. Let's create a lasting memory!
